Caroline Johnston, Fleetdogwalking
Caroline is passionate about animals. As a volunteer for the RSPCA Caroline has had responsibility for re-homing animals and her ultimate goal is to become a qualified dog trainer.
In April 2010, Caroline combined her passion for dogs and the need to support her family by launching her own dog walking business, Fleetdogwalking. Caroline invested her own funds into uniform, leaflets and a van and spent hours networking and distributing over 1000 leaflets. Since then she has built up a number of regular clients.
Unfortunately towards the end of the year the small van that Caroline used to collect the dogs broke down beyond repair. A friend was able to lend a van for a few weeks but the loan from Fredericks Foundation enabled Caroline to buy a replacement van and to continue trading. Caroline is in the final stages of completing a training course that will qualify her to offer a dog training service that will compliment her existing business.
